Your session is a firm fixture in our week and hugely popular. It is brilliant to hear how far everyone is progressing and see the physical benefits gained. I have to mention the social aspect too – the group getting together in the lounge in anticipation of you coming in, the chat, the riotous fun had by all during the session
Lynn makes the exercises fun and diverse, taking time to get to know the residents. She is hands on and even leaves the group with ‘ brain/exercise homework’ every week that staff can do with them
Its not like exercise it’s an event, I particularly like Boxing Bob (punchball aptly named Bob)
You can feel the sense of wellbeing and lift in mood afterwards – particularly beneficial to us all when we have sad times after losing friends. And this is down to your hard work and commitment Lynn, to provide a programme that not only meets the needs of participants but grows and maintains interest. And to do this you have taken the time to genuinely connect with our residents – and the rest of us – becoming a very welcome addition to our group
We exercise our muscles from our head to our toes – its fun and one of the most important things I do every week.
I visit Jenny (my sister) regularly at the home, I try to get to the exercises every week with her. When she first moved in all she spoke about was Bob and Lynn and she has problems remembering! Both of us love it, we love the music and last time I was standing boxing with Lynn. It gives me and my sister something to talk about, laugh about and look forward to.
I look forward to Lynn coming just as much as the ladies do, she needs to come more often! The music is great and the boxing even the chair lifts (squats) she does. I wouldn’t have believed that the ladies could do half the stuff they do with Lynn but they all manage. The place always has a happy buzz after she has been!
